Do You Qualify for the NUE Conceal Treatment?
You may be a good candidate for this treatment if your scar meets a few important criteria.
Your scar should be fully healed with no pink tones or changes in color. Typically, this means it is at least 9 to 12 months old. Treating unhealed tissue can cause further damage, which is why experienced professionals only work on stable, healed skin. If you were under a physician’s care, it’s always best to get their approval before moving forward.
The area should also be smooth and relatively flat. This treatment focuses on color correction and cannot correct significant changes in skin texture. If the skin is raised or uneven, a dermatologist or plastic surgeon may recommend treatments to improve the texture first.
Scars with dark edges may not be ideal for this procedure. These edges can be a sign of hyperpigmentation, and in some cases, the treatment may make the area appear darker. This risk can be higher for deeper skin tones.
