What do I need to know about this treatment?
Before your appointment:
Avoid aspirin or ibuprofen 24–48 hours prior, alcohol, caffeine, and blood thinners 24 hours before, and fish oil or vitamin E for one week.
After the treatment:
Avoid tight clothing for 2–3 days, scratching or peeling, and excessive sweating for 7 days. Keep the area away from direct water pressure, tanning, and swimming for up to 40 days. Do not apply perfume or deodorant near the treated area.
After pregnancy:
You can book your appointment once you are no longer breastfeeding.
Not recommended if:
You are pregnant or nursing, diabetic, prone to keloids or hyperpigmentation, or feeling unwell.
Sun exposure:
Tanning is safe only after the area is fully healed, which typically takes at least 40 days.
